Southcentral Foundation is more than just a primary care organization. SCF works with customer-owners to address all facets of wellness, focusing on supporting customer-owners in achieving their health goals and maximizing quality of life. One important way SCF does this is through its Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Exercise department. This department provides comprehensive care for a variety of conditions, encourages customer-owners to adopt healthier lifestyles, and helps optimize overall function.
SCF provides physical and occupational therapy, and exercise services, to customer-owners of all ages. SCF has home visit therapists who can work with customer-owners who may be unable to visit SCF’s campus for services. Condition management and education are strong focuses for this department.
Within physical and occupational therapy, SCF works with customer-owners on many different types of rehabilitations. SCF is adding neurotherapists and has recently added a speech therapist with a focus on brain injury management. SCF’s therapists work with primary care in an integrated environment, and the home visit team integrates with primary care as well as specialty clinics.
SCF also has exercise specialists, who mainly work with customer-owners who have metabolic conditions. These specialists screen customer-owners for safe entry into group exercise programs, as well as working with them to set up independent exercise programs to support them in maintaining healthy lifestyles.
