On April 8th, 2018, Southcentral Foundation accepted our second Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award! Per the National Institute of Science and Technology, the award is the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive. SCF received the award after a thorough review of our organizational processes and results, including a site visit last year by Baldrige examiners.
The award showcases the efforts of all SCF employees in building and continually improving the health care system into one that has been recognized nationally and internationally as providing some of the highest quality care in the world. It honors the work done by SCF customer-owners in creating the Nuka System of Care, and the work they continually do to engage with the health care system and improve quality of care for individuals, families, and the entire community.
SCF is also participating in the 2018 Baldrige Quest for Excellence conference. The conference offers the opportunity for SCF to teach others about the Nuka System of Care and the processes and systems behind it, as well as the opportunity to learn from others about their organizations’ improvement processes. SCF is always looking for methods to help us better serve customer-owners, and the Quest conference provides a good opportunity for this. More about the Quest conference will follow on this blog.
Once again, congratulations to all SCF employees and customer-owners on the Baldrige award!
